Finally: the sun!

At last: the sun. The weather forecast predicts 30°C on Wednesday. Maybe I'll take another day off to enjoy a day full of sun. On sunny days, it gets tropical in my office. The office windows look out to the south, so sun you'll get from morning till evening. In winter this is 'très agréable' while the office heating is not always what it should be. In winter time it gives me also an energy boost. In summer, though, it makes me linger for holiday, long and warm evenings doing nothing and traveling. Right at this very moment I have a friend in Asia, rocking the Japanese night live. His sister is preparing for her take off to south-east Asia and my cousin will leave in a few days for Thailand, with his girlfriend. Without mentioning B who lives permanently on the beach of Sydney, you lucky bastard, waiting for the right waves to catch, if he's not helping his clients. Or L, living in Phnom Penh, dealing with poverty in Cambodia, but without the stress and the bad weather of Belgium. Yes, I admit it, totally: I so envy you! And I know I could change my life easily, quit my job, leave my boyfriend and family alone till my next visit to my home country and just go where ever my heart tells me to... And still, I don't. Still I stay and continue to work at an office too hot in summer, with boring tasks to fulfill. And dreaming about endless holidays, tropical countries, nice people, no stress... Wishful thinking it is! Maybe one day, I can announce on this blog my 'Great Escape Plan'. Mean while, we'll continue the work and the daydreaming in "pretty pretty Belgium", where life, after all, isn't that bad. O well...
